Kyoto textile firm reproduces once-lost Jakuchu tapestry
Photo taken June 23, 2016, in Kyoto shows a tapestry created by Kawashima Selkon Textiles Co. based on a painting by the 18th-century Japanese painter Ito Jakuchu. The 3.5-meter long, 1.8-meter wide tapestry adorned the first float in the Gion Festival procession in Kyoto in July. (Kyodo)
