Tale of Fukushima evacuees' "life-saving" rice balls in textbook
Evacuees from Iitate, located about 30 kilometers from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant crippled in March 2011, pose for a photo in the city of Fukushima in February 2014. A story of the evacuees giving out rice balls to drivers stranded on a highway by heavy snow in 2014, saving one who nearly lost consciousness due to hunger, will appear in an ethics textbook for elementary school students, according to a Tokyo publisher.
