Buddha carving partially destroyed by militants restored in Pakistan
The face of a 6-meter-tall Buddha rock sculpture, once vandalized and disfigured by militants in 2007, is repaired as seen in this photo taken on May 8, 2017, in northwestern Pakistan's Swat district. The restoration of the "Jahanabad Buddha" was part of a project financed through a Pakistani-Italian debt swap agreement. (Kyodo)
