Buddha carving partially destroyed by militants restored in Pakistan
The face of a 6-meter-tall Buddha rock sculpture, disfigured after being vandalized by militants in 2007, is seen in this photo taken in November 2015 in northwestern Pakistan's Swat district. The "Jahanabad Buddha" has since been repaired as part of a project financed through a Pakistani-Italian debt swap agreement. (Kyodo)
