Work begins to build interim nuclear soil storage in Fukushima
Workers with protective gear are involved on Feb. 3, 2015, in the northeastern Japanese town of Okuma in the construction of interim facilities near the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant to store contaminated soil and other waste collected during radiation cleanup activities. Construction work has been delayed due to difficulties in obtaining agreement from the local municipalities and residents. (Kyodo)
