Japan to retain deputy chief post at IMF
Photo shows Mitsuhiro Furusawa, 58, a former Japanese vice finance minister. The International Monetary Fund announced Feb. 5, 2015, that it will appoint Furusawa to the post of deputy managing director. Furusawa will become one of the four deputy managing directors under IMF chief Christine Lagarde effective March 2 and will replace countryman Naoyuki Shinohara, 61, who is stepping down at the end of February.
