Japan mission briefed on progress of Myanmar economic zone project

Takashi Yanai, CEO of a Japan-Myanmar joint venture developing a special economic zone in the suburbs of Yangon, briefs a Kansai Economic Federation mission on Feb. 18, 2015, about progress in the project being undertaken with Japanese assistance. Work has been under way to build electricity, sewage treatment and other infrastructure facilities on a 200-hectare tract of land about 20 kilometers southeast of Yangon in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone project.
