Belongings of persecuted Catholics loaned to Nagasaki for exhibition
Members of the history committee of St. Mary's Cathedral in Nagasaki, better known in Japan as the Urakami Cathedral, observe a collection of rosaries during a private viewing of an exhibition at the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture in the southwestern Japanese city on Feb. 19, 2015. The rosaries, confiscated during Japan's persecution of Christians about 150 years ago, are among some 200 items on loan to the exhibition from the Tokyo National Museum. (Kyodo)
