Skatepark in tsunami-hit area
Skateboarders keep going after sunset on Jan. 10, 2015, at the Carpe Diem Park in Sendai's Arahama district in northeastern Japan. The park, whose name means "seize the day" in Latin, was created by Shinji Kida, 34, on the site of his house after the area was devastated by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. (Kyodo)
