Pop group AKB48 member holds plate of Kyoto tourism ambassador
Yui Yokoyama, a member of the Japanese girl pop group AKB48, holds a plate in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, western Japan, on Feb. 24, 2015, commemorating her appointment as ambassador for promoting tourism in the southern Yamashiro region of the prefecture. The Byodo-in Buddhist temple is behind Yamada, who hails from the prefecture. (Kyodo)
