Toshogu shrine tied to feudal Japan ruler opens new treasure house

A suite of armor used by feudal ruler Tokugawa Ieyasu is on display in a new treasure house at the Toshogu shrine in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, eastern Japan, opened to the media on March 5, 2015. The Shinto shrine, dedicated to the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate that ruled Japan from 1603 till 1867, built the treasure house as part of a project to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Ieyasu's death.
