Japanese classic comic storyteller Beicho dies at 89
File photo taken January 2013 shows Japanese classic comic storyteller Katsura Beicho performing during a new year show in Osaka. Beicho, who died of pneumonia on March 19, 2015, at 89, was honored by the government as a living national treasure in 1996 and in 2009 became the first teller of Japanese classic comic stories, known as "rakugo," to be awarded the Order of Culture.
