Off-site center shown 4 years after Fukushima nuclear crisis
An off-site center, which was supposed to function as an emergency response base, in Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture, is seen on March 15, 2015. The center, about 5 kilometers west of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant damaged by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami, was vacated four days after the disaster due to troubles including the shutoff of its communication lines and an increase in radiation.
