Off-site center shown 4 years after Fukushima nuclear crisis
Telephones and computers remain in an off-site center in Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture, on March 15, 2015, about four years after the 2011 nuclear accident at Tokyo Electric Power Co.'s Fukushima Daiichi power plant. The facility, about 5 kilometers west of the crippled plant, was supposed to function as an emergency response base but it was vacated four days after the quake and tsunami disaster due to troubles such as the shutoff of its communication lines and an increase in radiation.
