Japan's Diet passes 5.76 tril. yen stopgap budget for FY 2015
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (R) and Finance Minister Taro Aso bow on March 30, 2015, at the plenary session of the House of Councillors in Tokyo, which passed a 5.76 trillion yen ($48.3 billion) stopgap budget to fund its spending for 11 days from April 1, as the annual budget for fiscal 2015 is unlikely to be enacted by the end of fiscal 2014 on March 31.
