Narita airport ditches preliminary security checks
Preliminary identification inspections are conducted upon entering Narita International Airport in Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, on March 25, 2015. The manual checkpoints for passengers and visitors entering the airport were abolished on March 30 and replaced by a new security system which mainly relies on surveillance cameras and facial recognition technology.
