Hydrogen made from sludge pumped into fuel cell car in Fukuoka
Hydrogen generated from a sewage biogas source in the sewage treatment process is being pumped into a fuel cell vehicle at a hydrogen fuel filling station in Fukuoka on March 31, 2015. The use of sludge for generating hydrogen, the first attempt of its kind in the world, is hoped to accelerate the spread of fuel cell vehicles, which in turn should lead to the reduction of the emission of green house gases.
