Hokkaido brewers unearth sake aged under snow
The chief brewer (R) and a fellow worker of Japanese sake brewery Takasagoshuzo Inc. retrieve this year's new brew of rice wine from a container buried under the snow in Biei, Hokkaido Prefecture, northern Japan, on April 2, 2015. The sake had matured in the snow for about 100 days, a process said to create a smoother texture for the liquor. (Kyodo)
