Fukuoka weavers present kabuki's Ebizo with replica of old kimono
Kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizo (L) receives a traditional kimono made of the Hakata-ori textile, a specialty of Fukuoka Prefecture in southwestern Japan, from Sadao Terashima, head of a local weaving industry guild, in Fukuoka city on April 3, 2015. Guild members spent half a year to produce the kimono, replicating one that the seventh-generation Ichikawa Danjuro was fond of about 200 years ago. Ebizo's late father is the 12th-generation Danjuro. (Kyodo)
