Yokohama zoo opens savanna area

Two giraffes are seen in the new African Savanna Area, where giraffes, zebras and elands -- herbivorous animals -- are kept together with cheetahs, a carnivorous animal -- without any fences, at Zoorasia Yokohama Zoological Gardens in Yokohama, near Tokyo, on April 21, 2015. The zoo said cheetahs do not attack herbivorous animals that are bigger than them. The opening ceremony was held the same day for the 4.6-hectare zone, which will be open to the public from the following day. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
