Armenians in U.S. carry "Armenian Genocide" signs in NY
Hundreds of Armenians in the United States gather around the Turkish Consulate General in New York on April 24, 2015, a day to remember the atrocity carried out 100 years ago in which some 1.5 million Armenians were killed or driven to death under the declining Ottoman Empire, in protest against Turkey over the massacre. Armenia and Turkey remain split over whether to consider the killings a genocide or not. (Kyodo)
