Osaka metropolis plan rejected in referendum
Kenji Eda, Japan Innovation Party leader, meets with reporters on May 18, 2015, in Osaka, after a proposal by Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto, the top adviser to the party, to reorganize the city administration into a metropolitan government similar to Tokyo's was rejected in a referendum the previous day.
