Paintings by Maruki couple to be exhibited in Saitama Pref.
A painting depicting Urakami Cathedral after the 1945 atomic bombing of Nagasaki, Japan, created by the late Iri and Toshi Maruki after their visit to Nagasaki in 1953, is exhibited at the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum on May 22, 2015. Their artworks including the painting will be displayed at the Maruki Gallery for the Hiroshima Panels in Higashimatsuyama, Saitama Prefecture, from June 3. The couple was based in that eastern Japanese prefecture. (Kyodo)
