Recreation center opens for Fukushima plant workers
Akira Ono (L), head of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, answers reporters' questions at the plant in Fukushima Prefecture, on June 1, 2015, regarding a nine-story recreation center that opened the same day within the plant premises. The facility houses a cafeteria for workers decommissioning the plant and a space where a total of 1,200 workers can rest. About 7,000 workers work daily at the plant struck by nuclear meltdowns triggered by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. (Pool photo)(Kyodo)
