Radar set up on central Japan bay coast to analyze mirage
Photo taken on May 16, 2015, shows a radar set up on the coast of Toyama Bay in Uozu, Toyama Prefecture, central Japan, to measure wind speeds and directions for analyzing the mechanisms of mirages often seen in the area. The Uozu city office hopes the data collected will help predict the elusive natural phenomenon more precisely and thus attract more tourists. (Kyodo)
