Turkish warship Gediz arrives in Tokyo

The Turkish frigate Gediz arrives at Tokyo's Harumi Pier on June 5, 2015. Before sailing to Tokyo to mark the 125th anniversary of the friendship between Turkey and Japan, Gediz stopped at Kushimoto town in Wakayama Prefecture, western Japan, for a commemorative ceremony for the victims of the Ottoman warship that sank due to a typhoon in 1890.
