U.S. lawmakers to reconsider Pacific trade agenda
Akira Amari, Japan's minister in charge of Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade talks, speaks to reporters in Tokyo on June 13, 2015, after the U.S. House of Representatives decided to carry over deliberations on a bill that is crucial to concluding a sweeping TPP deal to the following week. Amari said the split result of the U.S. voting makes it difficult for the 12 countries involved to swiftly convene a ministerial meeting, for instance, by the end of this month. (Kyodo)
