Clock festival held at western Japan shrine
A woman clad in an ancient court outfit dedicates a new clock at a festival at Omi Shrine in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture, western Japan, on June 10, 2015, known as Time Day. The festival is held to commemorate the day when Emperor Tenji reportedly used the first water clock in Japan in 671. (Kyodo)
