METI study group member introduces kimono

A member of a study panel set up by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to promote kimono introduces a new product with patterns printed by ink-jet printers at a meeting in Tokyo on June 16, 2015. The group has come up with a report on ways to revitalize the kimono industry in regional areas, including the introduction of a "Kimono Day" when workers would wear the traditional Japanese clothing while on duty.
