Quake-hit areas to shoulder some costs under new gov't recovery plan
The Liberal Democratic Party's task force for post-disaster reconstruction meets at the ruling party's headquarters in Tokyo on June 18, 2015, to discuss the government's five-year, 6.5 trillion yen rehabilitation plan for fiscal 2016-20 calling for the three hardest-hit prefectures of Fukushima, Iwate and Miyagi to shoulder 22 billion yen in costs in a departure from all public funding under the current plan ending in fiscal 2015 through next March.
