Ex-site of reverberatory furnace in Kagoshima built in 19th century
Shozo Tamura, chief of the Shoko Shuseikan Museum in Kagoshima, southwestern Japan, explains the site of the former Meiji era reverberatory furnace in what once was an industrial complex built in the 19th century on June 12, 2015. The site is one of the "Sites of the Meiji Industrial Revolution" which Japan aims to register as a World Heritage site. (Kyodo)
