Ruins of Japan's oldest blast furnace await UNESCO heritage listing
Kumeo Otaki, head of a group aiming to hand down the history of Kamaishi as the birthplace of Japan's modern iron industry, stands by the ruins of the Hashino Iron Mining and Smelting Site in the northeastern Japanese city in Iwate Prefecture on June 14, 2015.
