Japan pledges $6.1 bil. for development of Mekong nations
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and the leaders of five Southeast Asian nations along with the Mekong River attend a summit meeting in Tokyo on July 4, 2015. Abe pledged to give fresh aid worth $6.1 billion (750 billion yen) in official development assistance to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam over the next three years. (Kyodo)
