Japan unveils nuclear magnetic resonance system with strongest magnet
The National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, announces on July 1, 2015, the development of a nuclear magnetic resonance system equipped with what it claims to be the world's highest magnetic field. The system, which has an enhanced capability to determine protein structures at a molecular level, is indispensable for the development of new drugs. (Kyodo)
