U.S. diplomat's daughter publishes memoir about childhood in A-bombed Hiroshima
Farida Fotouhi, daughter of the first U.S. diplomat assigned to Hiroshima after the 1945 atomic bombing, explains in an interview in Los Angeles on March 27, 2015, about her English memoir "Charcoal Girl" that describes her childhood experience in the western Japanese city in 1952-57. She also plans to publish a Japanese-English version of the book, which includes a picture card show Fotouhi produced in Japanese at school at age 7. (Kyodo)
