U.S. diplomat's daughter publishes memoir on childhood in A-bombed Hiroshima
Farida Fotouhi, daughter of the first U.S. diplomat assigned to Hiroshima after the 1945 atomic bombing, shows a copy of her English memoir "Charcoal Girl" during an interview in Los Angeles on March 27, 2015. The book, which includes a picture card show Fotouhi produced in Japanese at school at age 7, describes her childhood experience in the western Japanese city in 1952-57. (Kyodo)
