Western Japan hospital opens old ward for public before demolition
Sachiko Yamamoto (L) flips through a photo album with former colleagues at an old ward at Nishinomiya Kaisei Hospital in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, western Japan, on July 4, 2015, reminiscing about the time when she worked there as a student nurse. The hospital building, famous for being depicted in the novel "Hotaru no Haka" (Grave of the Fireflies) by Akiyuki Nosaka and the 1988 Studio Ghibli animation of the same title, will be demolished for reconstruction due to deterioration.
