Japan ruling, opposition camps clash over vote on security bills
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe enters his office in Tokyo on July 14, 2015. Ruling and opposition parties clashed the same day over a ruling coalition plan to put controversial security bills to a vote at a House of Representatives panel a day later. The Democratic Party of Japan and the Japanese Communist Party boycotted a parliamentary session on the bills in protest against the planned vote, which would pave the way for passage through the lower house as early as July 16.
