Research finds ways of producing differently colored quail chicks
An agricultural research institute in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, shows male (L) and female baby quail with different-colored plumage on July 16, 2015. Japanese quail chicks normally have black plumage patterns but those born to a new variety of male quail, developed by the Aichi Agricultural Research Center, and conventional female quail have distinct color differences, with females colored brown while males remain black.
