Namibian doctor Ndume receives 1st Nelson Mandela prize
Namibian ophthalmologist Helena Ndume (C), one of the laureates of the first-ever U.N. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela Prize, poses after an award ceremony in New York on July 24, 2015. The prize is presented once every five years as a tribute to the outstanding achievements and contributions of two individuals, a male and female, who dedicated their lives to the service of humanity.
