Ex-Taiwan leader Lee plants tree at northeastern Japan temple
Former Taiwan President Lee Teng-hui (C) and his daughters plant a tree at Zuigan-ji temple in Matsushima, Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan, on July 25, 2015, to commemorate their previous visit in 2007. Standing behind them is a slab inscribed with "haiku" Japanese poems of Lee and his wife built in 2008. (Kyodo)
