"Uchimizu" event in Tokyo's Ginza shopping district
Women in yukata, a casual summer version of kimono usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric, sprinkle water over a street in Tokyo's Ginza shopping district during an "uchimizu" event on Aug. 2, 2015. Uchimizu is an old Japanese custom of using a bucket and ladle to sprinkle water on streets and gardens to bring down the summer heat and dust in the air. (Kyodo)
