U.S. doll that survived war, tsunami at Iwate museum

A "blue-eyed doll" from the United States that survived a destruction order during World War II and the March 2011 tsunami in northeastern Japan is seen in May 2015 at the Iwate Prefectural Museum in Morioka in the northeastern Japan prefecture. It was one of around 12,000 such dolls sent to Japan from the United States in 1927 as evidence of Japan-U.S. friendship. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
