Ex-Olympic athletes run for relay in disaster-hit northern Japan
Retired Japanese Olympic athletes Nobuharu Asahara (far R) and Masako Chiba (2nd from R) leave the town office building in Matsushima, Miyagi Prefecture, on July 30, 2015, as part of a 1,000-kilometer relay event to connect places in the northeastern Japan region of Tohoku hit by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
