Japanese priest chants sutra for Japanese died in Bashi Channel
Munetoshi Yoshida, chief priest of a Japanese temple whose father died in the Bashi Channel between Taiwan and the Philippines during World War II, chants a sutra in a memorial service for dead Japanese military members at the Choonji temple in Hengchun, Taiwan, on Aug. 2, 2015. Yoshida lives in Ogi, Saga Prefecture, southwestern Japan. (Kyodo)
