Abe to reinstate non-nuclear principles in A-bomb ceremony speech
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe speaks at a parliamentary committee at the Diet in Tokyo on Aug. 7, 2015. At the committee, Abe promised to touch on Japan's non-nuclear principles in his speech at a ceremony in Nagasaki on Aug. 9 to mark the 70th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of that city, after being criticized for not mentioning the principles of not producing, possessing or allowing nuclear weapons on Japanese territory in his speech the previous day to commemorate the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
