S. Korea opens research center for Japanese studies
South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung Se makes a speech in Seoul on Aug. 12, 2015, at the opening ceremony for a research center focusing on Japanese affairs. The Center for Japanese Studies was established in consideration of the growing importance for relations with Japan as 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the 70th anniversary of independence from Japan's colonial rule, according to South Korea's Foreign Ministry.
