S. Korea opens research center for Japanese studies

It was established in consideration of the growing importance for relations with Japan as this year marks the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the 70th anniversary of independence from Japan's colonial rule, according to South Korea's Foreign Ministry.
