Woman in Nagasaki offers paper cranes for friends
Shigeko Iwamoto, 86, offers 7,000 folded paper cranes at a memorial facility dedicated to victims of the 1945 bombing of Nagasaki on Aug. 9, 2015, the 70th anniversary of the U.S. bombing of the southwestern Japanese city. She has made cranes every year since 10 years ago in memory of her friends who died while working at the same factory as she did when the bomb was dropped. (Kyodo)
