North Korea starts new time zone
An employee of the Koryo Hotel in Pyongyang hangs a clock on the wall on Aug. 15, 2015, after turning its clock back by 30 minutes to adjust it to "Pyongyang Time." North Korea said it created the new time zone to mark the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japanese rule at the end of World War II. The South Korean government expressed concern that the move will complicate inter-Korean affairs. (Kyodo)
